Osorio to scrap rotations for World Cup?

Will we finally see a familiar starting XI from Mexico against reigning champions Germany?

Predicting Juan Carlos Osorio’s lineups the past few years has been no easy task. In 48 games as manager, he has produced 48 different lineups.

Osorio is infamous for his rotations and has swapped up to eight players between consecutive games in official tournaments, with last summer’s Confederations Cup being a prime example.

With the World Cup less than a week away, El Tri fans fear the lack of consistency leading up to the tournament will hinder the team chemistry on the field.

Juan Carlos Osorio has already planned which players will start against Germany. If all goes well, he plans to repeat the same XI for the game against South Korea.

After various weeks of speculation, the Mexican federation announced that Diego Reyes will be missing the World Cup. Pachuca midfielder Erick Gutierrez will be taking his place in the squad.

Osorio was counting on Diego Reyes’s versatility for the World Cup but will have to adapt his tactics once again after losing both Araujo and Reyes.
