Jonathan dos Santos’ World Cup has been cast into doubt after he limped out of LA Galaxy’s 3-2 loss to Dallas on Sunday afternoon.
With brother Giovani also missing the game following a training ground knock, El Tri boss Juan Carlos Osorio will be praying for positive news from the Galaxy’s medical team over the coming days.
Osorio is due to name his 23-man World Cup squad on Monday.

Dos Santos was injured while stretching for a tackle in the 49th minute. He left the pitch for treatment but managed to return to the field briefly before being taken off 10 minutes later. His replacement was 29-year-old American, Servando Carrasco.
The former Barcelona star has endured an injury-ridden 2018. He missed Mexico’s friendlies against Iceland and Croatia with a hamstring strain and was also forced to sit out the majority of April with a calf injury.
