Tigres set to battle with Turkish giants for Premier League goalkeeper

Tigres will try and sign Arsenal’s David Ospina if Nahuel Guzman moves to Boca Juniors this summer.

Rumors about Nahuel’s future have been circulating since his error allowed Djaniny to the decisive goal in the liguilla quarter-final against Santos.

It’s thought he will leave the club if Boca can find the $10 million USD that Tigres is demanding.

And, according to several reports in the Mexican media (Univision), Tuca wants the Arsenal man as his replacement.

Ospina moved to the Gunners from Nice at the start of the 2014 season. Wenger made him the first choice keeper, but he lost his place midway through the campaign. He has started just 11 league games in the last three seasons combined, though he played 10 times for his side in last season’s Europa League.

Tigres might not have it all their own way, however. Multimedios says Turkish side Fenerbahçe is also keen on the 29-year-old.

Ospina is currently with the Colombian national side in Russia, meaning no deal is likely until after the World Cup.
