Pumas wants to sign Cruz Azul’s Chilean striker, Felipe Mora.
The club is desperate to land a new forward after losing last season’s star Nico Castillo to Benfica.
Cruz Azul placed Mora on the transfer list a few weeks ago and at one stage the player looked set to sign for Morelia. However, no deal was forthcoming at last week’s Liga MX draft and it looked like the 24-year-old would move abroad.
However, Red Gol claims Pumas will exercise its right to sign a “wildcard” domestic player before the July 5th deadline as the need to sign a new striker becomes increasingly pressing.

Mora signed for Cruz Azul last summer. He enjoyed a largely impressive debut season in Mexico, bagging 12 goals in 33 league appearances, along with a further two goals in the Copa MX.
