Toluca could be lining up a bid for Club America striker, Oribe Peralta.
Rumors suggest the move could be part of a swap deal that sees playmaker Rubens Sambueza move in the other direction.
Sambueza was an America player for four years but moved to Toluca in the summer of 2016. He won two league titles and two CONCACAF Champions Leagues during his time in Mexico City.
A report on Goal claims Henry Martin could also be part of any deal.
The 25-year-old striker has been at Las Aguilas for less than 12 months but has struggled to win over the America fanbase. He’s not scored since a hat-trick in the 5-1 thrashing of Lobos BUAP in early February.
Peralta had a similarly underwhelming Clausura, managing to score just three league goals since mid-October.
In contrast, Sambueza enjoyed a more impressive season; his Toluca side came within a whisker of a first league title since 2010. They set a new league record in the process.
Peralta and Sambueza are both entering the twilight of their careers. They will be 35 by the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
America is also chasing Dutch star, Luuk de Jong.
