Moisés Muñoz will return to Club America this summer after Puebla decided not to renew the goalkeeper’s loan deal.
Muñoz has spent the last two years away from Las Aguilas. In 2016/17 he was on loan at the relegated Chiapas.
According to BolaVIP, the Uruguayan keeper Nicolás Vikonis will step up to become first choice in the Apertura. La Franja signed him from Colombian side Millonarios in January. He only made three league appearances in the Clausura but was a regular in the Copa MX.
Whether or not Muñoz will be happy to stay at America and play understudy to Agustín Marchesín remains to be seen. The report claims he has offers from MLS sides, meaning the 38-year-old has a decision to make.
Muñoz made 175 appearances for the Mexico City side between 2012 and 2017, winning two league titles and two CONCACAF Champions League medals in the process. He has been capped 19 times for the Mexico national team.
