Ravel Morrison’s future at Atlas has been the cause of considerable speculation in recent weeks. The latest rumors suggest the Englishman could go to Spain.
Espanyol is thought to be interested, and a swap deal with Esteban Granero is possible.
Granero came through the Real Madrid youth academies, playing 67 times for the senior side between 2009 and 2012.
He then moved to the Premier League and spent two years at Queens Park Rangers before returning to Spain with Real Sociedad. He signed for Espanyol last summer.
According to Record, the Atlas hierarchy is keen on a move for the 30-year-old and want to move the deal forward over the coming days.
The report claims Espanyol’s José Manuel Jurado was also considered, but Granero was ultimately considered to be the better investment.
Morrison played 18 times for Atlas last season, scoring three goals.
